A new host plant for Monochaetia monochaeta from Southern Anatolia

This study aims to report the endophytic fungal pathogen Monochaetia monochaeta (Desmazières) Allesch on Quercus robur Linnaeus (English oak) for first time from Anatolia (Türkiye). The microscopic and macroscopic properties of fungus, symptoms it creates in host plant, distribution disease world are explained. With new record revealed by this research, a contribution was made Turkish Mycoflora scientific world. Additionally, has been emphasized that diseases can cause serious yield loss and, therefore, significant economic losses plants worldwide much more research should be done these agents based systematic biological control studies.
